Be Our Guest, Be Our Guest, Let Our Service Be the Test!
Good food. Fun food. Pretty food. It’s the reason why many people choose the bed and breakfast experience over a hotel, and the St. Augustine B&B culture has set a high standard for food expectations. Rising to that challenge is fun; meeting those expectations can be demanding, considering grocery prices these days; but the biggest part of keeping pace is in the hands of the chefs and innkeepers.
It is imperative to have serious foodies on the staff, and we do we do! They have fun with food. They celebrate creative food choices. They are hospitality artisans who know that presentation isn’t just food on a plate. It is food placed lovingly, strategically. And it is the plate on which it is placed. It’s about how it smells. It’s about what that smell says to those within sniffing distance. It’s about everything that tickles your palate pink and stirs your senses silly each and every day during your stay.
Tasty treats as of late have included egg, sausage, bacon, scallion, pimento cheese quiche with red ped pepper flakes and a pepper jelly drizzle. Grit-Crusted quiche, with cheese, bacon, and green onion served with roasted tomato; bananas Foster waffles; hot chocolate bombs and cappucino cups; pickled cucumbers and onions; roasted Cabernet mushrooms; hot pepper, raspberry, pecan Brie; and Mediterranean Tabouleh.
